Pioneer the SACD tubed 

The quality of this player after lampization is quite better than original .

Like I noted from several other players adopting PCM1738 the sound is a little bit sterile and opamp output stage doesn't help at all .

The output of this DAC is at high level and it doesn't needs a I/V stage than a dual triode like our well tested 6N14P is a good solution to warm up the sound and gives it a 3D improvement!

I have to admit : this is not my favorite DAC   but with tubes is quite enjoyable!

I would advise to use it  with a tube amp or at least a mosfet one.....wuold give a great result in chain!!!
