......from a Technics guts.....
some mod on the main board....stoled the signal as usual from the outstanding panasonic DAC to the DIY discrete output and the sound change completely from the muddy,not detailed sound of technics it takes off to a stellar very open , detailed sound, with vibrant bass and huge soundstage!
Not comparable at all with the former device!
Sound now takes life and makes you move from ur armchair and dance!! ;-)
Fet are very similar sounding to tube,which are loved and highly regarded for their warm and natural sound and their typical richness in matter of pair harmonics that gives a easiness and a lush pleasure at the listening!
Well Jfet are very simila to tube not exactly as rich but very very close to them
The result is so pleasant that you forget your job and get lost in music......and when this happen you know to got your achievement!
I love this job as my Yamaha (with CS4392) with discrete output ...... and my little Divx player Schaub Lorenz mounting a great Wolfson DAC ... never posted!

| The schematic (you could change several values with great result!) actually I swapped 2SK30 for 2SK117 with great result on dynamic ........now sound is much more open and detailed , and bass less muddy this great device is gonna be turned in a tubed device.......please follow the following related post......... to be continued.... on http://maoaudiolab.blogspot.it/2014/04/maotube3-is-born-from-nice-mash.html |
