Two step tweaking carries  to extremely good result indeed!!!!!!

...swapped this good sounding JRC5532 for a super fast LT1361 800V/uS of slew rate ...wooow!!!
the way I adopt to chose for the best is to listen and compare them with a bunch of others!....for sure i chose the bunch by their specification! Someone says more fast they are more they sounds tube-like!!! Probably it's true!Iesperieced that the fastest opamp sounds more open with a bigger soundstage , bigger body and something like thicker!   we must say each one has his own character!

....swapped this good sounding Elna caps for a couple of super fast and low ESR Panasonic....the best for dynamic!!

What can do Fujicon vs Elna as decoupling in opamp field ?...more punch!!!!

did u think 1541 decouplig were smallest smd ceramic mini cap????...noooo!!!They provide yet to fit 14 very nice sounding polyester!!!!! Thx Sony!

One of the best result on a cd player!!indeed a great sound, full of details but not fatiguing at all!

All comes out just like notes....just like music, not mere sound!!!

The owner asked me for a further upgrade ,cause he feel it perfect but a bit lacking bass.

A light revision on LPF filter gives it a wonderful soundstage... more opened towards lower region.

Voice and piano are litterally magical, more naturalness more harmonics, overtones.....

...and only adding two polyester caps "122" on bypassfilter!!!! Great result!!!

Sony CDP-XE270 modificato Audiophile

Here we have a beautiful design by Sony-new generation "powered" by a performant CXD2587 !

This chip is an integrated "multitask" chip...... it's not only a bare DAC but even a digital servo with a build in LPF filter-output for the 1bit DAC!

It really do most of the work inside this Sony CDP.....and nice side is that it sounds really well!

.....output with our nice fellows Nichicon Muse bypassed by poliester cap. and followed by Allen Bradley resistors.....mmmmmm it's like butter and strawberry jam ;-) !

I did not mentioned any Opa just 'cause I swapped a lot of them and I found many good working in my socket...it's on your taste!!  My taste takes me to an OPA2140 and it still lay there!.....Impressive "punch" stunning bass clear and equilibrate middle and wonderfull riging bell on the high side!

 ....oooh yes ....even the nippon chemi in the right place do their work very good!!

I did buy this player almost for mistake from eBay...I don't know what I managed to win it from an eBay auction but I won it on my birthday of 2010 so I considered it like a present from no one and I'm a kind of attached at it! ....and now...woow...it sounds more than decent!!! almost the same of his broth Sony195.....I would say different but not worst! Actually the best result were using opa2140 and OPA1642 the latter is a kind of strange racing beast...I need to get used at it!!! ;-)

last upgrade!

I added the voltage regulators +-5V and I swapped the serie's diode for 4 super fast diode!!!

Wow!the improvement is really huge!!!!!!!Now I dare to say it sounds detailed but sooooo accurate...mmmmmmmm a very fine texture sound!!!!

Denon DCD-620 modificato senza opamp!!!!

Does it needs words to explain?.......it's a simply mod with a great result!
At first I heard a muddy very laid back sound from this device....no detail at all and a strange feeling of a kind of waves sound coming and going difficoult to describe!
Service manual on my hands I started studying the situation....ok let's start from the higly regarder PCM56 by Burr Brown.........mmmmmm.......wow! they've got a V-out that means they has a op-amp build in!!!!!!
Would it be any good???Hope so! all would be simplier!!!! Go for that way c'mon!!!
Guys I'm really lucky : polypropylene bypass everywere nichicon muse output and allen bradley resistor and NO OPAMP at all!!!throwing muting transistors in the trash the sound result is really amazing!!!!!!!
Drum shots in my ear like never before!!!!!!!!!!! guitars cry giving shiver ...piano gives its best!!!!! and voices soooooo sweets and likely detailed .........mmmmmmm!!!!!!
I'll switch to italian in order to make me understand to my friend Orazio!
